New York City: Day 10 (Red Hook Lobster Pound), Day 11 (Woodbury Premium Outlet)

We had a relaxing and long breakfast before we checkout and took a cab from our hotel (Embassy Suites by Hilton Niagara Falls) to the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.  The custom clearing was smooth as we entered from United States previously.

After we checkin to our hotel we head out to look for the highly recommended lobster roll at Red Hook Lobster Pound.

Some pictures of the place.

The lobster roll with chunky lobster meat.

The place is near 2nd Avenue serviced by the F train, but seems like they have moved to a new location.  This is link to their website for their current locations.  This is the best lobster roll I have tried in the states although I have really tried alot.  We shop around 5th avenue and call it a day.

I will also summarise the next day in the same post as I didn't have any pictures.  The next day we went to the Woodbury Premium Outlet.  We took the bus at Port Authority Bus Terminal which cost $42(return).  Personally I don't think it is really worth it for the travel time and price of the bus ticket to get there.  We didn't really shop as much compared to the premium outlet at Orlando.  Anyway here's a link to the stores at Woodbury Premium Outlet.  We ended up returning to NYC and shop at the 5th avenue.  We also visited the Apple store and Trump Tower.  As we spent most of the time shopping there wasn't any photos.

This is a very short post, the next day we will visit some of the touristy sites in NYC, stay tuned.

Niagara Falls: Day 7 to Day 9 (Niagara Falls USA and Canada)

Sadly its time to say goodbye to Disney World.  We did have an enjoyable time.

Disney Pop Century Resort actually have a check-in counter so you don't have to drag your luggage to the bus stop and drag it to check in.  However do note the timing to check-in and the airline your are flying with (not all airline can checkin here).

The checkin area.

The 6 airlines where you can checkin here.

They actually issue you a boarding pass with Mickey on it, how cool is that!

This is our complimentary ride to the airport.

This is in the Orlando airport also where we picked up our universal studios pack when we arrived.

And on the plane, sorry no pictures of the airport or planes.  The drinks are complimentary except for alcoholic drinks.

I took the orange.

Didn't except to have such a selection on a very short flight.

And we arrived at Buffalo Niagara Airport (still in USA).

We headed straight to the falls using a cab.  We are greeted by the majestic Niagara Falls, really impressive!

We are very lucky that the Maid of the Mist is already operating, usually they start their operation much later and we did expected to be able to experience the ride.  The ferry will bring you very close to the falls to experience the 'power' of the falls.  I think it is a must visit if you are there.

Another view of the falls.

That how the Maid of the Mist ferry looks like with everyone in disposable raincoat provided.  Each ticket cost $18.25

This is the park next to the Niagara Falls, I quite like the place very quiet and serene, nice cool weather and beautiful sky what more can you ask for.

We spent the rest of the day just walking around the area, it a very quiet place unlike the Canada side (sorry no photo).

Some history if you are interested.

We checkout the next morning and dragged our luggage across rainbow bridge to the Canada side.

Another photo before we walk toward the rainbow bridge.
The international boundary line on the rainbow bridge between USA and Canada.

And we are in Canada.

Looking ate the hotels and casino you know that this is the more touristy side.

View from our hotel room (Embassy Suites by Hilton Niagara Falls).  You can see why alot of people says that the falls is nicer on the Canada side but actually its the view but the nicer side of the Niagara Falls actually reside on the US side.

 View of the horseshoe.

A panorama view.

The plaza by the falls.

Another view of the falls at night.

We walk around the area exploring, it is more happening with alot more shopping and food but I still prefer the quieter side on US.  That summarises our visit to Niagara Falls and we will be heading to New York city the next day.

Orlando: Day 4 to Day 6 (Disney World: Pop Century Resort, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Chef Mickey's)

Today we slept late as there isn't anything plan and we just need to move from Universal to Disney World.  We took Uber from Hard Rock Hotel to Disney Pop Century Resort, it costs about $18.

Some shots of the resort compound as we walked towards our block.

Inside our room, though not as luxurious as Hard Rock Hotel but it was sufficient and comfortable.

Like the idea that they always have a sink and mirror outside the toilet.

Bathroom, looks very dated and no Disney theme.

Carpet with images of Mickey.

Rotisserie Chicken at Pop Century Resort Food Court.

Disney Refillable Mug.  Note that refillable stations are not available inside parks at point of writing.

With everything within the resort there is no need to take a bus out today.  We had our dinner inside the resort's food court, walk around the resort and call it a day.

Next day to the Magic Kingdom.  The rides here are quite similar to Disneyland around the world but there are quite a number of interactive attractions where there are activities or live shows or story telling, great if you have young kids but realise not so much for us.

Disney World is really huge that it require its own bus interchange, look at the different gates and destination.  So taking the wrong bus could mean you taking a long time to get back.

Inside Magic Kingdom

Monorail Station, if you stay at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or Disney's Polynesian Village Resort

Cinderella Castle

Lunch: Fish Platter($10.29) and Grilled Fish Platter($13.29)

The parade in the afternoon

Dinner: Rotisserie  Chicken($14.49), somehow I quite like the rotisserie chicken in Disney World, think I ate at least 3 times in the span of 3 days.

The Disney's Electrical Parade at night

We ended the day with some shopping at the Disney World Main Emporium Shop.

Animal Kingdom was the next theme park we picked as Epcot didn't look interesting and some of the attractions in Hollywood Studios can be found in other Disney theme parks.

Entrance to Animal Kingdom, look alot like entrance to a zoo.

Sand sculpture of the jungle book characters.

 Tree of Life Garden

The Tree of Life, at first we thought it is a real tree only upon a closer and longer inspection that we realise it is not, its really life like.

One of the attractions where you can take a picture with Mickey and Minnie

The Africa zone

Lion King Show, highly recommended, makes me want to catch the Lion King Musical.

Lion King Show

Lion King Show

The park close at 4.30pm, however the park wasn't too big and have caught all the attractions we wanted to see with time to spare.  We head to the Disney's Contemporary Resort for our Chef Mickey's dinner.  Chef Mickey's is a buffet restaurant where the Disney characters come to your table to take photo with you.  During my stay there is Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daisy and they came out twice.

As it was still early we walked around the resort.

Some pastries with Disney's character

Chef Mickey's Entrance

Inside the dinning area where you see goofy and Minnie walking around for pictures.

And that concludes the 3 days at Disney World, we will be checking out tomorrow for our flight to Buffalo Niagara.
